Really inspired by typography and word-centred graffiti at the moment. Skein-bombing ?
A Good Deed Brightens a Dark World. Shine on Friends!
Did I ever post about these ? These are “candy” shoes I made from a pair of the cheapest Primark flats to wear to Rumpus’ First Birthday Party. I wore them with an ice-cream printed 50s summer dress which I also made for the occasion. Maybe I should show that off too.
Long time no post ! Let’s play catch up : here’s a cheeky little gift I embroidered for a friend who apparently wants my name on her butt !
As some of the people who were at the first Craft Circle meet will remember, I was working secretively on something, checking over my shoulder every few minutes in case Caroline came in.
The reason was this:

Obviously it wouldn’t have worked as well as a surprise if she’d known about it, that’s “surprise 101”.
For my first ever embroidery, I’m pretty pleased. I used backstitch, split stitch, daisy stitch (badly), stem stitch and even satin stitch. I’m so pleased about the satin stitch that I’m going to drop in a few close-ups.

And Caroline liked it. So whoo !
